Job Description

Our client, is a Global Music Company based in London and is looking for Studio Manager that will sit within the Creative & Content team in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.

Your role will be working closely with the central team in London, but liaising regularly with our teams in 18 global locations to traffic studio work. This role is client-facing and the Studio Manager is expected to have first-class communication skills.


  • Oversee and own resource planning and scheduling
  • Create, manage and implement systems and processes to support effective studio operations
  • Identify freelance needs to ensure projects are run to time and budget
  • Build and maintain a freelance database of tried and tested suppliers
  • Build and maintain a preferred supplier data base across all creative disciplines
  • Manage the workflow through the team ensuring efficiency and quality
  • Ensure projects are skilfully managed and status updates are circulated to stakeholders
  • Redefine process from a continuous improvement perspective from briefing to delivery, followed by implementing and policing those processes
  • Drive efficiencies to improve profitability
  • Ensuring teams are fully briefed on time
  • Some proofreading and general Quality Control
  • Collating and preparing files for final delivery
  • Manage the administration of cost tracking system
  • Create and maintain studio policies and induction (handbook) for new team members/freelancers on studio protocol
  • Ownership and accountability for all files, server and filing structure and naming across creative servers and global asset bank
  • Ensure all new team members (and freelancers) have computer set up and desk allocation
  • Manage calibration of screens and printers for creative studio - presentation screens in meeting rooms
  • Manage longer term campaigns with ownership of critical paths whilst also running day-to-day studio projects.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Traffic or Studio/Production Manager in a creative agency/in house environment across digital, content and print
  • Management of a creative team of 10+ creatives
  • Creative or design background
  • Technical savvy across project management tools, Adobe Creative Cloud, Excel, Mac and PC literate, general technical trouble shooting, Preflight, Large format
  • Experienced in daily and longer term project planning and resourcing
  • Able to multitask and prioritise based on project deadlines
  • A calm diplomatic and friendly approach
  • Able negotiate with multiple stakeholders whilst under pressure
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
