JUNIOR VIDEO EDITOR

A Junior Video Editor is required by one of the world's leading premium fashion and lifestyle retail companies to work within a successful team of creatives developing video concepts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside the Video Editor, Art Director and design team to edit digital video content
  • Liaise with Production to help plan, produce and deliver all video content within budget
  • Shoot and light on set, both on location and in the studio
  • Order shooting kit (cameras, lighting, lenses, etc.)
  • Complete post production for projects including grading, mastering, encoding in different formats and uploading to the web
  • Research original images, music, and video content as support material to video shoots
  • Take a leading role in backing up all data and organising a library of all media
  • Perform quality assurance on all video footage
  • Take responsibility for video upload to website
  • Accurately archive footage to be easily accessed by the Editorial team
  • Prepare the creative studio, checking that all equipment is functioning, setting up appropriate lighting

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • A professional approach to work with great attention to detail, high quality and consistency
  • Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment well under pressure with a creative attitude both within a team and autonomously
  • Solid editing background and proven experience using Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier
  • Experience in the following applications: Photoshop, Color, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, After Effects, MPEG Streamclip
  • Excellent understanding of video compression and optimisation for web video
  • Awareness of Sound Booth systems for voiceovers
  • Good understanding of audio capture and sound quality control
  • Understanding of usage and clearance requirements for music, images and footage
  • Knowledge of producing video for various devices e.g. iphone, ipad etc, and interest of new developments and innovation in video content
  • Experience of archiving
  • Experience with shooting original content is essential
  • Attention to detail on all pieces of work
  • To come brimming with creative video ideas to each meeting
  • Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines as part of a team or autonomously
  • An understanding of the online interactive experience
