3D Designer – Contract (Hybrid) | Luxury Automotive Brand
We’re hiring a 3D Designer to join the internal design team of a world-class luxury brand. You’ll be responsible for transforming brand vision into beautifully executed 3D objects — spanning EV charging equipment, accessories, branded furniture, and physical brand environments.
This role blends physical product design, material understanding, and digital craft — ideal for someone who can move from concept to production without losing design integrity.
This is a hybrid contract: 2–3 days onsite in Warwickshire, £30/hour, Inside IR35, until 31 March 2026.
Key responsibilities:
- Translate brand identity into tangible 3D designs across multiple physical formats
- Develop products including charging units, off-vehicle infrastructure, branded equipment, and accessories
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (vehicle design, graphics, motion) to maintain design cohesion
- Evolve rough concepts into detailed, production-ready solutions
- Support feasibility, development, and visual consistency throughout
Essential skills (CVs must include all of the following):
- Excellent 3D design experience gained in both agency and corporate settings
- Experience designing across multiple physical product categories
- Strong understanding of form, function, and physical brand application
- Proficient in Alias, Rhino, and Blender
- Real-time rendering capability using KeyShot or similar tools
- Unreal Engine experience preferred
- Deep understanding of production, manufacturing, and material processes
- Proven stakeholder management across disciplines, cultures, and time zones
- Adaptability to fast-paced design environments
This contract is open to applicants at all levels, provided your portfolio aligns with the brand direction and your CV demonstrates the required skills. It suits designers looking to gain exposure to a globally recognised brand, professionals seeking stable project work through the winter period, and mid–senior creatives transitioning into contract roles or recovering from redundancy.
