The Role
A leading global automotive brand is looking for a hands-on UX Researcher to join their multidisciplinary design and research team. You'll be actively involved in usability testing across digital interfaces, in-vehicle systems, VR environments and functional prototypes — working in an agile, sprint-based delivery environment where your research directly informs design decisions. Working at the impressive HQ in the Conventry area.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute UX testing across vehicles, simulators and digital prototypes

Conduct usability testing using qualitative and quantitative methods

Collaborate with UX Designers to identify friction points and improve usability

Communicate findings from user studies in a clear and practical format

Contribute to benchmarking, user personas and attribute tracking

Support early concept validation through to final product assessment
Skills and Experience
Essential:

Solid usability testing and user research experience

Understanding of user-centred design principles

Confident testing across physical, digital and immersive prototypes

Strong communication skills — able to present findings clearly

Agile mindset with a delivery-focused approach

Full UK driving licence
Desirable:

Automotive UX knowledge including driver attention and distraction principles

Familiarity with eye-tracking, behavioural analytics or user testing platforms

Accessibility best practices awareness
