Pride month 2022 - 1st - 30th June - 50th Anniversary

Every year, during the month of June, the LGBTQIA+  community celebrate sexual diversity across the globe, various events are held during this special month as a way of recognising the influence LGBTQIA+ people have had around the world. Why was June chosen? Because it is when the Stonewall Riots took place, way back in 1969.  Also known as the “Mother of Pride”, it was Brenda Howard who coordinated the first LGBT Pride march. As well as sparking the idea for a week of events around Pride Day. These events then developed into the annual LGBT celebrations held every June.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first Pride march in the UK.

Pride month is about teaching tolerance, education in pride history and continuing to move forward in equality.  It's all about being proud of who you are no matter who you love.

Let us all embrace the rainbow to help increase visibility and may lend support and encouragement to others within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Employers understand why all their employees should feel welcome, respected and represented at work.  Because when LGBTQIA+ employees feel acceptance & Inclusion they are free to feel uninhibited and themselves, everybody benefits.

Creative Recruitment are proud to showing our support to the LGBTQIA+ community our employees, clients and candidates and supporting the work of Stonewall by putting our money where our mouths are with an annual donation.
