Talented Structural Designer required for retail communications agency based in Central London. Reporting to the Structural Creative Group Head, your responsibilities will include:
Deliver structural designs from creative concept through to finished production. Specifications to the
highest possible standard – to assist more junior team members overseeing and checking work, and to be able
to work independently when required. A creative mind to push the boundaries of what’s possible to create innovative solutions for the Home Ents industry.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
POS experience essential for Home Ents promotional/Theatrical display stands
Expert knowledge of corrugated core materials & manufacture
Experience of using other materials such as solid boards/display/boards/pvcs etc
Experienced CAD user in Kasemake/Artios/Artios 3D
Ability to design independently from creative concept through to full production
Ability to work with 2D designers to develop structures from visuals
Understanding of laying up for litho/screen/digital print
Have a good understanding of production techniques
Build into designs best economic routing & use of materials
Build into designs easy assembly techniques & creative functionality engineering
Responsible for production sign off & checking procedures.
Responsible for detailed technical drawings & production specifications.
Ability to be able to innovate new ways of thinking to increase productivity & creativity.
Interpret briefs & advise when they are not feasible or extra information required
Other skills of interest:
Knowledge of the Adobe photoshop/illustrator
Working knowledge of Cinema 4D
Accomplished sketching abilities.
